Liesbeth Liekens - Let's talk!

Liesbeth Liekens

She’s one of the few female rebreather divers in Belgium.  Her task in the team consists of writing texts, doing the presentations and interviews for Submerge Productions podcasts, and hunting for still pictures, as her passion is photography, both above and under water.   Get a feel for her pics here.

Her certificates: OC Normoxic Trimix, IANTD Divemaster, Full Trimix Rebreather Diver on the Evolution.

Liesbeth is also our language specialist.  She is fluent in five languages: Dutch, French, Italian, English and German.  During the day, she works as a freelancer teaching Dutch, French and Italian to adults.

Peter Cabus - Through the lense

Peter Cabus

A passion for diving, combined with an eye for filming. Peter started his diving career 13 years ago, and took up filming soon after.
His certificate for full trimix on the rebreather allows him to dive the deep wrecks and to capture uniqe images of the “twilight zone”, well beyond the range of recreational diving depths.
When he’s not behind his camera, he’ll be editing his footage, building and updating the website, or working on his day job as an IT consultant.
Peter's diving certificates: rebreather full trimix, IANTD divemaster, trimix blender.  He is currently working on his rebreather supervisor certification.
Have a look at his podcasts here.

Stefan 'Apo' Crab - Wired for sound

Stefan Crab

Apo is a technical diver, and during deep diving operations, he’ll act as a support and safety diver.
With loads of experience in sound systems and recordings, Apo will take care of microphones, wires, sound transmission and mixing.
He’s got a background in physics and works as a lab technician at a construction chemicals manufacturer.
Apo is really committed to diving.  He is an IANTD divemaster and Trimix certified on OC.  He recently switched to Closed Circuit, following a Trimix course on the Inspiration.  He is also presiding a brand new sports/tech community “Inspired Divers”. Check out their website here.

Steven Tolleneer - Mr. Travelframe

Steven Tolleneer

Steven is always busy inventing new gizmo's for the technical diver. He has years of diving experience on rebreathers: he started on a Dolphin, then flirted with a Kiss, before settling for the APD Inspiration. Steven owns a company which manufactures warm air heaters.

Martijn van Reijen - In the army now

Martijn van Reijen

The youngest member of the team, but with an extensive list of diving certificates. Martijn is an IANTD Trimix Instructor. He’s currently training in the Belgian Army to become part of the Navy’s divers and demining department.

Merijn Sep - Building the set

Merijn Sep

Merijn works as a décor constructor, and has built many sets for major film productions and reality shows. He advises on the artsy stuff. Merijn is also an IANTD Divemaster. He’s qualified for Trimix dives on OC. In the team, he functions as an extra safety diver.

Steven Galicia - Exploring new depths

Steven Galicia

Steven Galicia is the man behind Galicia Technical Diving. He started diving in '96 en when in '99, he photographed his first wreck, the "Eagle" (Florida Keys), he was hooked on wreckdiving. Today, he's an OC and CCR Trimix Instructor and Instructor Trainer for both IANTD and DAN. He lives by "exploring new depths" and organizes expeditions providing the team with excellent diving and filming locations. Steven deals with all logistical challenges when traveling to remote dive locations. He selects and supervises the team of technical divers for these expeditions.
